Wine Advocate # 186 Dec 2009
2007 Tetra - 94
The 2007 is stunning. Opaque purple-colored, with plenty of creme de cassis, creosote, camphor, incense, subtle toasty oak, licorice and oodles of black fruits, the wine has superb purity, full bodied texture, beautiful richness and depth, and a finish that goes on for at least 40+ seconds. This blend of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot should age nicely for 15-20 years.
This wine, meant to be the selection of the very best terroirs and grapes from entrepreneur Bill Hill’s holdings in Napa Valley, is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. Drink: 2009 - 2029

2006 Tetra - 92
The 2006 is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. It is a strong wine in 2006, with licorice and earthy black cherry and black currant flavors intermixed with some smoke, burning embers, and floral undertones. Deep, medium to full-bodied, rich, and surprisingly round, with silky tannins, this wine should drink well for the next 15 years.
